Last-minute Saturday night. No reservation. About 6:45 p.m. in Altamonte Springs — and somehow we still got in fast.

That is one reason we keep coming back to Mexican restaurants in general. Even when the room is packed, a good spot usually finds a way to seat you. Fiesta Cancún did.

Atmosphere: 9.5. One of the best Mexican restaurant vibes we have had — and Mexican food is already our favorite. Vibrant, colorful, lots to look at, good music, good energy. The painted tables and wall carvings alone make you feel like you showed up for something, not just a booth and a TV.

Service: 9.7. Our waiter was solid, but it was the whole room. Host stand, people clearing tables — everyone said hello. Anyone who walked by checked on chips, drinks, or whether we needed anything. Friendly without being forced.

Food: 9.8. We got the fajitas for two — the five-meat platter. Steak, chicken, shrimp, and two pork styles (think carnitas / chorizo territory). Best fajitas we have had in a long time. Huge skillet. We brought home a ton of meat. Corn tortillas looked great too — we do not eat the shells, but they still made the plate feel right.

Knup 9.6 / 10. We will go back. If you want big portions, strong fajitas, and a place that feels like a celebration on a random Saturday, Fiesta Cancún in Altamonte is an easy yes.
