When Universal turned the bars at Universal's Great Movie Escape into "The Traitors: New Blood" bars for the season, I made a solo Saturday trip to CityWalk just to see them. The plan was simple: walk around, take some photos and get a Traitors-themed drink.

It's tucked in near the Mexican restaurant and the karaoke spot, in what used to be the dance club. There's an escape room upstairs too, but it isn't a Traitors one. Inside it's two floors, and when I was there around 1 to 2 PM almost nobody else was in the building. Neither bar was open. The sign out front explains it — Wednesday through Sunday, 4 to 11 PM — so no drinks and no food for me. That was the disappointing part, because the drink was half the reason I came.

The theming still made the trip. There are outfits and cases worn by host Alan Cumming, including a lavender suit and a denim-and-tartan look straight off the show. There's a model turret you can pose in, a photo wall of this season's cast in gold frames, and upstairs the Roundtable bar is built as the actual Round Table. I sat at it and took my photos with nobody waiting behind me, which you probably can't do at night.

Service: not rated. Nobody talked to me the whole time, so there's nothing to score. The bars were closed, and that's on my timing, not on anyone working there.

Atmosphere. Dark wood, deep blue walls, costumes under glass and moody lighting. It looks the part, even empty in the middle of the afternoon.

Knup 6.9 / 10. Fun to walk through if you like the show, but I came for a Traitors drink and left without one. Tip: go during the posted 4 to 11 PM hours, and the drinks are the open question.
